Guardrails and exclusions update — eliminates negative valuations, filters option offenses, adds floor and ceiling.

What was included

QB-only FBS valuations (2024 season)
Formula: team_budget × QB_positional_share × (avg_ppa_pass / league_avg_ppa_pass) × usage_pass_adjustment
Guardrails added: positive PPA filter, FCS exclusion via team_id IS NOT NULL
Option offense exclusions: Air Force, Navy, Army, Georgia Tech
$75K floor, $15M ceiling
Minimum 15% pass usage rate
16 programs with specific budget estimates
SP+ captured in inputs snapshot but not in formula
~430 clean QB valuations in staging

Known gaps at publication

No opponent adjustment — raw PPA still rewarded weak-schedule QBs
SP+ in data pipeline only, not applied in formula
Social media premium not modeled
Only 16 programs had specific budget estimates — G5 and mid-tier P4 undervalued
RB, WR, TE positions out of scope

What changed in v1.2

v1.2 replaced raw PPA with WEPA (opponent-adjusted efficiency), formally integrated SP+ into the formula, and expanded team budgets to 40+ programs. See the current model.
